VIDEO: 3 Useful Thai Particles You Should Start Using

This lesson is teaching you useful particles that you can use to suggest your Thai friends to do things together. Watch now if you want to start speaking Thai like a native!

[1] เถอะ /tèr/

pattern : do something + เถอะ /tèr/ = Let’s do something

Example:

Let’s go = ไปเถอะ /bpai tèr/

Let’s eat Italian food = กินอาหารอิตาลีเถอะ /gin aa-hăan italy tèr/

 

[2] กัน /gan/

pattern : do something + กัน /gan/ = Shall we do something together?

Shall we get something to eat together.

= ไปกินข้าวกัน /bpai gin kâao gan/

Let’s go get some drinks together.

= ไปดื่มกัน /bpai dùem gan/

 

[3] นะ /ná/

A friendly particle added at the end of a request.

ซื้อให้หน่อยนะ /súe hâi nòi ná/
