Days of the week are prefaced by the word วัน [wan] ‘day’. The preposition ‘on’ is not used:
วันจันทร์ [wan jan] Monday
วันอังคาร [wan ang-kaan] Tuesday
วันพุธ [wan pút] Wednesday
วันพฤหัสบดี wan prúe-hùt-sà-baw-dii Thursday
*In spoken Thai Thursdau is shorten to ‘wan prúe-hùt’ or ‘wan pá-rúe-hùt’
วันศุกร์ [wan sùk] Friday
วันเสาร์ [wan săo] Saturday
วันอาทิตย์ [wan aa-tít] Sunday
For example;
ผมจะไปประเทศไทยวันพุธ [pŏm jà bpai bprà-tâde tai wan pút]
I will go to Thailand on Wednesday.
เราชอบดูหนังวันศุกร์ [rao chôrp duu năng wan sùk]
We like to watch movies on Friday.
A: วันนี้วันอะไร [wan-níi wan à-rai?]
What day is Today?
B: วันนี้วันศุกร์ [wan- níi wan sùk]
Today is Friday.
Are you the same as the Line bunny?

Is there any meaning behind Thai week day names? I mean, like with month names.
Mod says
The names of the days of the week are also names of the seven planets;
จันทร์ /jan/ = Moon
อังคาร /ang-kaan/ = Mars
พุธ /pút/ = Merucry
พฤหัส /pá-rúe-hàt/ = Jupiter
ศุกร์ /sùk/ = Venus
เสาร์ / săo/ = Saturn
อาทิตย์/aa-tít/ = the sun
