I created a short test for you with three pairs of commonly confused words. You need to choose the right word that complete a given sentence correctly.
- Little : A. เล็ก /lék/ or น้อย /náwi/
She works hard, but earns just a little.
เขาทำงานหนักแต่ได้เงิน________
káo tam-ngaan nàk, dtàe dâai ngern________
She is just a little girl, but she has to work hard.
เขาเป็นแค่ผู้หญิง_______ แต่ต้องทำงานหนัก
káo bpen pûu-yĭng _______, dtàe dtâwng tam-ngaan nàk
2. A lot: A. เยอะ /yér/ or มาก /mâak/
We ate a lot of rice in Thailand.
เรากินข้าว________ที่ประเทศไทย
rao gin kâao yér tîi bprà-têet tai
This song is good. I like it a lot.
เพลงนี้เพราะ ฉันชอบ________
pleeng níi pró, chán châwp________
3. Hard: หนัก /nàk/ or ยาก /yâak/
He works hard for his children.
เขาทำงาน________เพื่อลูก
káo tam-ngaan ________ pûea lûuk
Learning a new language is hard.
เรียนภาษาไทยใหม่________
rian paa-săa mài________
