This lesson offer you two exercises:
1.You can practice your listening skills.
2. You will learn 12 useful phrases for making a date and eating out.

Dialogue from the video:

Pele: กินข้าวยังครับ /gin kâao yang kráp/

Have you eaten yet?

 

Pear: ยังค่ะ /yang kâ/

Not yet.

 

Pele : หิวไหม /hĭu mái/

Are you hungry?

 

Pear: หิวนิดหน่อยค่ะ /hĭu nít-nòi kâ/

I am a little bit hungry.

 

Pele: ไปกินข้าวด้วยกันไหม  /bpai gin kâao dûai gan mái/

Would you like to grab a bite to eat together?

 

ผมเลี้ยงเอง /pŏm líang eeng/

My treat.

 

Pear: จริงเหรอคะ ขอบคุณค่ะ /jing lăw, kop kun kâ/

Really? Thank you!

 

Pele: อยากกินอะไรครับ /yàak gin à-rai kráp/

What would you like to eat?

 

Pear: อะไรก็ได้ค่ะ /à-rai gâw dâai kâ/

Anything is fine.

 

Pele: อยากกินอาหารแบบไหน – ไทย จีน ฝรั่ง 

/yàak gin aa-hăan bàeb-năi? Tai, jiin, fà-ràng/

What kind of food would you like to eat? Thai, Chinese or Western?

 

Pear: กินได้หมดค่ะ /gin dâai mòt kâ/

I can eat anything.

 

Pele : งั้นผมโทรจองโต๊ะนะ /ngán pŏm too jawng dtó ná/

I will book a table.

หนึ่งทุ่มสะดวกไหม /nùeng tûm sà-dùak mái/

Is 7 p.m. convenient for you?

 

Pear: สะดวกค่ะ /sà-dùak kâ/

Yes, it is convenient.

 

(Make a Phone call to book a table)

 

Pele : สวัสดีครับ /Sà-wàt-dii kráp/

Hi!

 

ขอจองโต๊ะครับ /kăw jawng dtókráp/

I would like to book a table please?

Staff: กี่ที่คะ วันไหนดีคะ /gìi tîi, wan năi dii ká/

How many people? Which day is it?

 

Pele: 2 ที่ วันนี้ หนึ่งทุ่มครับ /săwng tîi, wan-níi , nùeng tûm kráp/

Two persons, today at 7 p.m. please.

 

Staff: ขอชื่อกับเบอร์โทรด้วยค่ะ /kăw chûe gàp ber too dûai kâ/

May I have your name and phone number please?

 

Pele:  ชื่อเปเล่ครับ /chûe Pele kráp/

It’s Pele.

    All great lessons but I miss mod and her blog about trip to some nice place or beach with photos and video 😉
