A great way to remember new Thai phrases is to use them in your daily life. Today I would like to invite you to join me in my morning routine and talk about useful phrases you use in the morning as you get ready for the day. Let’s go!
The list of words that are talked about in the video:
- ตื่นนอน /dtùen nawn/ = wak up
- กินน้ำ /gin náam/ = drink water
- จัดที่นอน /jàt tîi nawn/ = make the bed
- เปิดม่าน /bpèrd mâan/ = open the curtain
- เปิดประตู /bpèrd bprà-dtuu/ = open the door
- เข้าห้องน้ำ /kâo hâwng-náam/ = use the bathroom
- หวี /wĭi/ = comb
- หวีผม /wĭi pŏm/ = comb your hair
- แปรง /bpraeng/ = brush
- ฟัน /fan/ = teeth
- แปรงสีฟัน /bpraeng sĭI fan/ = toothbrush
- ยาสีฟัน /yaa sĭI fan/ = tooth paste
- แปรงฟัน /bpraeng fan/ = brush teeth
- บ้วนปาก /bûan bpàak/ = rinse your mouth
- เปลี่ยนเสื้อผ้า /bplìan sûea pâa/ = change your clothes
- ออกกำลังกาย /àwk-gam-lang-gaai/ = exercise
- ยางผูกผม /yang pùuk pŏm/ = hair band
- มดจะล้างหน้า /Mod jà láang nâa/ = I will wash my face.
- โฟมล้างหน้า /foam láang nâa/ = from facial wash
- ล้างมือ /láang mue/ = wash your hands.
- ก่อนล้างหน้ามดล้างมือ /gàwn láang nâa Mod láang mue/ = Before washing my face, I wash my hands
- ถ้าคุณเป็นผู้ชายคุณจะโกนหนวด /tâa kin bpen pûu-chaai, kun jà goon nùad/ = If you are a man, you will shave your mustache.
- มีดโกนหนวด /mîid goon nùad/ = razor
- โฟมโกนหนวด /foam goon nùad/ = shaving foam
- ล้างหน้าเสร็จแล้วมดก็จะอาบน้ำ /láang nâa sèt láew Mod gâw jà àab náam/ = I finish washing face, then I will take a shower.
- อาบน้ำ /àab náam/ = take a shower, take a bath
- สระผม /sà pŏm/ = wash hair
- ยาสระผม /yaa sà pŏm/ = shampoo
- เราใช้ยาสระผม /rao chái yaa sà pŏm/ = We use shampoo.
- ครีมนวดผม /kriim nûad pŏm/ = conditioner.
- เลือกเสื้อผ้า /lûeak sûea pâa/ = choose clothes
- แล้วก็แต่งตัว /láew-gâw dtàeng-dtua/ = and then get dressed
- ตอนเช้ามดทำอาหารเช้าง่ายๆค่ะ /dtawn cháao Mod tam aa-hăan cháao ngâai ngâai/
In the morning, I make simple breakfast.
34. ปกติมดจะปิ้งขนมปัง /Bpòk-gà-dtì Mod jà bpîng kà-nŏm-bpang/ = Usually I make a toast.
35. ขนมปัง /kà-nŏm-bpang/ = bread
36. เครื่องปิ้งขนมปัง /krûeang bpîng kà-nŏm-bpang/ toaster
37. ใส่ขนมปัง /sài nŏm bpang/ = put the bread in
38. แล้วก็ชงชา /láew gâw chong chaa/ = and then make tea
39. มดไม่กินกาแฟ /Mod mâi gin gaa-fae/ = I don’t drink coffee.
40. มดชอบกินชาขิง /Mod châwp gin chaa kĭng/ = I like to drink ginger tea
41. ชาขิงสำเร็จรูป /chaa kĭng săm-rèt rûup/ = Instant ginger tea
42. ต้มน้ำก่อน /dtôm náam gàwn/ = boil water first
43 ถ้าคุณกินกาแฟ /tâa kun gin gaa-fae/ = If you drink coffee
44. กาแฟสำเร็จรูป /gaa fae săm-rèt rûup/ = Instant coffee
45. ชงกาแฟ /chong gaa-fae/ = make coffee
46. มดชงชา /Mod chong chaa/ = I make tea
47. คุณชงกาแฟ /kun chong gaa-fae/ = You make coffee
48. แล้วก็มดชอบกินไข่ตอนเช้า /láew-gâw Mod châwp gin kài dtawn cháao/
And I like to eat eggs in the mornig.
49. กระทะ /grà-tá/
50. ตะหลิว / dtà-lĭu/
51. บางครั้งมดทำไข่ดาว /bang kráng Mod tam kài daao/ = sometimes I make a fried egg.
52. บางครั้งมดต้มไข่ /bang kráng Mod dtôm kài/ = sometimes I make a boiled egg.
53. หม้อ /mâw/ = pot
54. ตอนเช้ามดชอบกินผลไม้ /dtawn cháao Mod châwp gin pŏn-lá-máai/ = I like to eat fruit in the morning
55. มีด /mîit/ = knife
56. เขียง / kĭang/= cutting board
57. ปอกผลไม้ /bpàwk pŏn-lá-máai/ = peel fruit
58. กินข้าวเช้าเสร็จแล้วมดก็ล้างจาน/gin kâao-cháao sèt láew, Mod gâw láang jaan/ = I finish breakfast, and then I wash dishes.
59. จาน /jaan/ = plate, dish
60. ล้างจาน /láang jaan/ = wash dishes
61. ฟองน้ำ /fawng náam/ = sponge
62. น้ำยาล้างจาน /náam yaa láang jaan/ = dish washing liquid
63. กินอาหารเช้าเสร็จแล้ว มดก็เริ่มทำงาน /gin aa-hăan cháao sèt láew, Mod gâw rêrm tam-ngaan/
I finish eating breakfast, then I start working.
64. เช็คอีเมล์ /chéck email/ = check email
65. ตอบอีเมล์ /dtàwp email/ = answer email
66. ตอบข้อความ /dtàwp kâw-kwaam/ = answer messages
67. แล้วก็ตัตดต่อวิดิโอ /láew-gâw dtàt-dtàw wí-dii-oo/ = and then edit a video
68. ถ้าคุณออกไปทำงานข้างนอก /tâa kun àwk bpai tam-ngaan kâang nâwk/ = If you go out to work
69. คุณก็จะบอกว่า ออกไปทำงาน /kun gâw jà bàwk wâa àwk bpai tam-ngaan/ = You will say “I head out to work”.
70. หรือ ขับรถไปทำงาน /rŭe kàp rót bpai tam-ngaan/ = Or drive to work.

ใส่ขนมปัง /sài nŏm bpang/ – doesn’t “nom” also mean boobs? 😜
I am sorry for my typo. It is kà-nŏm bpang which means “bread”.
