In my opinion the absolute best way to sound more like a native speaker is to imitate other native speakers. So I want you to imitate or to copy me!
Now these words might seem quite easy to you because they are words we use all the time BUT I would like you to really concentrate on the vowel sounds if the word is pronounced with a short or long sound as well as the tones.
Here is the list of the words you can pronounce PERFECTLY:
1. I = ผม /pŏm/
2. want to = อยาก /yàak/

รู้ /rúu/ means know details or information. The pattern is รู้ /rúu/ is followed by ว่า/wâa/ (that) and a sentence.
For example;

Of course you are absolutely correct that imitation is the best way to learn a new language and to speak like a normal person would, not like a formal school book. But one concern I have is that when I try to imitate the tonal sounds by listening to you, I might end up sounding more like a Thai woman instead of a Thai man. Do Thai men sound similar to Thai women or do they talk lower, or with less intonation? Maybe I’m silly for worrying about this. 🙂
Mod says
Thai men also speak with the same intonation as Thai women as it is the nature of Thai language. I have been teaching private Thai lessons for almost 10 years and 98% pf my students are men, they are speaking like a man. 🙂

Kru Mod! Sorry for being off topic again but I want to ask you this. Have tried bikini waxing in any beauty spa/salon in Bangkok? and if so, did it hurt? I’m worried about pain. ^_^ Can you recommend any salon from your personal experience ? I’ve never done it in Asia.
Thanks again!
