Thai Tongue Twisters

I think you might like to have some fun with with your Thai friends, so I made this video. I suggest you to try to say these phrases slowly first, get fimiliar with the words, tones, vowels. When you feel comfortable saying each word then add the speed, just try to say it faster!

ยักษ์ใหญ่ไล่ยักษ์เล็ก

yák yài lâi yák lék

The big giant is chasing the small one.

 

เช้าฟาดผัดฟัก เย็นฟาดฟักผัด

cháao fâad pàk fák, yen fâad fák pàd

In the morning (I) eat stir-fried winter gourd, in the evening (I) eat stir-fried winter gourd.

VOCABULARY:

ยักษ์ yák = giant

ใหญ่ yài = big

เล็ก lék = small

ไล่ lâi = chase after

เช้า cháao = morning

เย็น yen = evening, cool

ฟาด fâad = eat (slang)

ผัด pàt = to stir fry, stir fried

ฟัก fák = winter gourd
